To ensure a safe learning environment, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has given a 55-page list of precautionary measures to the affiliated schools. The schools will have to form hygiene inspection squads, task teams and emergency care support for the implementation of these guidelines. Many schools have created videos to explain these safety measures to students’ parents. Among other things, these videos talk about how to properly wear a mask, covering mouth while coughing and sneezing, maintaining a 6 feet distance from each other and avoiding coming to school in circumstances of fever, cough and cold.
The guidelines instruct the schools to avoid celebratory functions, hold assembly in classrooms, and conduct parent-teacher meetings virtually among other things.
