Free training on ‘Digital Safety’ and ‘Augmented Reality’ by CBSE and Facebook

Amidst the rising use of internet and online classes, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has joined hands with Facebook to introduce two special training courses for students and teachers. Students will be taught the importance of digital safety and online well-being, while teachers will learn about augmented reality (or virtual reality). This step is taken considering the increased exposure of students to the risks of cyber bullying, online abuse and fake news.

Respective schools will have to choose their teachers and students for these online training courses. 10,000 students and 10,000 teachers will benefit from these free programs. Registrations are open from July 6 to July 20. Training for students will start from August 6 and for teachers, from August 10. Moreover, in the second phase, CBSE plans to open these programs to 30,000 students in each category.
