As per the latest reports,The CBSE on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court that the decision-making process on whether to conduct pending Board exams of CBSE classes 10 & 12, from July 1-15 is in an advanced stage. The hearing has now been deferred to Thursday at 2 pm on the request of the CBSE.
The SC is hearing a plea by a group of parents demanding cancellation of the remaining board exams considering the rising number of coronavirus cases across the country.
Therefore, the SC on June 17 asked the CBSE to cancel the pending board exams and evaluate students on the basis of their marks in internal assessment.
The ICSE board has also agreed to stand by the decision of the CBSE.
