In its goal to make over 22,000 schools equipped with AI and other futuristic technologies, the Central Board of Secondary Education has recently launched two facilitators’ handbooks.
These two curriculum manuals are of the below mentioned categories:
Facilitator’s handbook for AI curriculum catering to students of class VIII and IX. Curated for a 112 hours curriculum, the handbook is based on experiential methodologies covering both social and technology skills,
Facilitator’s handbook on AI Integration across subjects to enhance the multidisciplinary approach in teaching-learning process whilst integrating AI. The second handbook suggests how schools can train their teachers from class VI to X with AI-enabled technology in reference to the relevant topics/themes from their respective curriculum. The document discusses how AI-based tools can enhance learning across disciplines both within and outside the classrooms.
"The handbook is a ready reference guide with simple steps for the facilitators to enable the students to learn AI in an engaging and experiential manner. The idea is to help facilitators introduce AI in classrooms through fun activities and games," says Biswajit Saha, director (Skill Education & Training), CBSE.
