In order to curb the percentage of absentees from schools owning up to false reasons, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly released a circular making it mandatory for students to produce death certificates of their parents, in case of any such loss.
The decision is made so that the Board can reduce its chances of getting fooled by the students, especially those who lie and stay away from schools for long.
According to sources, the CBSE has issued a circular to the heads of the schools, stating that students should mandatorily produce death certificates in case of the loss of their parents. Also, students will now have to produce medical certificates in case of long leaves.
