It is narrated by an Official, that, CBSE is going to add three new subjects which will be headed under the additional subjects along with five compulsory subjects. These 3 subjects are – artificial intelligence, yoga and early childhood care education.
Artificial Intelligence will be introduced as the 6th subject from the academic session 2019-2020 at class IX. This subject is added to the curriculum which will enhance the multidisciplinary perspective in the learning teaching and making the youth more sensitive. It is also decided that the schools will be starting Artificial intelligence ‘inspire module’ comprising of 12 hours from Class VIII.
A senior official also proclaimed that early childhood education and yoga will be added as elective subjects at the senior secondary level. The step of introducing yoga in the curriculum was done based on the reports which illustrated that there is a huge requirement for the early childhood teachers and yoga experts.
If any student fails in the elective subjects- science, social science and math, then the newly added subjects marks will be replaced and consequently the total will be calculated based on the best five subjects. But is the student wants to reappear in which subject he failed then he can give it with the compartment exams.
CBSE have advised the senior secondary level schools to offer one or more skilled subjects as the elective subjects among the 42 subjects.
Te official further added that the CBSE board will offer all the necessary guidance and support required in training the teachers and also offer their best help in successful implementation of these skill subjects.
