As per the experts, the CBSE syllabus have permitted the schools to teach any of two novels namely- The Invisible Man by HG Wells or Silas Marner by George Eliot and the students are asked to attempt any one question of 6 marks . Most of the schools teach The Invisible Man but unfortunately the question paper comprised of one question from each novel without any choosing options.

To address this issue the CBSE board has narrated that the required action will be taken after getting the feedback from the respective schools. The CBSE officials have proclaimed that, There is a process which has to be followed if there is any anomaly noticed in the question paper and so it can take some time as it’s not possible to address the problem and come down to the solution immediately because all the observations are collected and sent to the marking scheme department so that each student interested is protected.
