Amid the rising havoc of the coronavirus, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in its yet another endeavor has launched “Dost for Life” app for parents & students of CBSE Affiliated Schools. This mobile application is the second initiative of CBSE for the mental well being of students. Earlier CBSE introduced a toll-free mobile number where the students could connect through the counsellors.
The app is available on Google Play Store and has been designed for students of classes 9-12 and parents. The app can be used for counselling session from May 10 onwards.
Here’s how you can use the app:
1) The board will conduct the counselling session on three days in a week: Monday, Friday & Wednesday.
2) The session will be live, and the students & parents will be required to choose any one slot out of the two available: 9:30 am to 1:30 pm & 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm where they will be connected to a chatbot.
3) The app provides counselling to students on topics like the course to choose after 10+2, metal well-being, corona guide & rap songs.
