CBSE Class 10th & 12th Board Exams: School Principals Suggest to Shift to Home Boards Amid Rising Covid Cases

As India is facing the second wave of the coronavirus scare, school principals are becoming apprehensive as the board exams draw near. CBSE Class 10 & 12 board exams are scheduled to begin from 4 May 2021 but now as the number of Covid cases are soaring, a few teachers suggest postponement or cancellation of the exams. However, many teachers and school oppose the postponement of the exams as it would have an affect on the next academic cycle.

The better alternative to postponing or cancelling the exams is to allow students to give the board exams from their respective schools. As of now, this seems to be the most feasible options to contain the spread of coronavirus among the students.

Before all this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has implemented various measures like giving an option to students to change their Exam Centre for board exams 2021 and that they can appear for the improvement exam of any one subject of their choice in the same academic year.
