In a letter to school principals of CBSE affiliated schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Controller of Examination said that the schools should take steps to identify & work out learning gaps if any for students of Classes 9 & 11 and subsequently conduct the final examinations.
The Controller said that these exams would help in identifying learning gaps in the students; because of the disruption caused during the pandemic. These gaps could be addressed in the new academic year through special bridge courses which could be conducted at the beginning of the new academic year.
The board also suggested to conduct these exams in offline mode; following all the COVID-19 SOPs and begin the new academic year from April 1.
