CBSE Boards 2021: The Confusion Continues

With the end of 2020 nearing and schools still remaining shut, there is still a lack of clarity about further syllabus reduction and CBSE Board Exam 2021 dates. School authorities and students are awaiting the final word from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). In normal circumstances, the exams would have started from 15 February 2021. Accordingly, the Board has begun the examination process and already collected the list of candidates (LOC) from schools. Due to this, schools are on their toes and working towards the previously stipulated date of February 15. But students are hoping for delay in exams as well as reduction of syllabus. Their teachers think that slashing the syllabus might do more harm than good as students won’t be well prepared for competitive exams and might miss out on building a strong base for their career. The board is yet to take a final call on the matter.
