NEET 2020 Exam Postponed due to Covid-19 lockdown

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was scheduled to be held on May 3 but now NTA has officially announced that NEET 2020 is postponed till the last week of May. Exact date of exam, as well as new date of releasing the admit card will be announced after MHRD and NTA assess the (coronavirus) situation, after April 15, 2020.

The NEET exam is held annually and NEET scores are used to secure admission in both government and private medical colleges across the country. Foreign universities also take into account NEET scores for admissions. The results are usually out in June, after which admissions to the colleges begin.

Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has tweeted about the exam postponement and has suggested students stay at home and utilize the time for preparation.
