It is often seen that CBSE board exams create anxiety and mental stress among students. To reduce pre-exam stress CBSE has taken many steps like counselling session, allowing calculators for students with special needs and many more. In yet another move to reduce exam stress among students, the CBSE has decided to do away with words like failed or compartmental on students marksheet.
All CBSE Schools have been asked to send four alternative words that won’t have an impact on the minds of students.
Currently, students who fail in more than two subjects are tagged as ’Failed’ on their marksheets, while those who fail in two or fewer subjects are tagged as ’compartmental’ result holders.
