Board exams and competitive exams both hold a great significance for every student and that too for very divergent reasons. Board exams tend to cover the syllabus of only class 12th, whereas JEE Mains syllabus inculcates syllabus for both 11th and 12th. Hence, make sure you segregate the topics that you need to cover for the sake of proper preparation. Going through NCERT books meticulously will help you prepare more appropriately for both JEE Mains and 12th board exams. Once you recognize your syllabus, what comes next is strategizing how to study.

 

2. Determining and deciding on the right strategy

In order to score well, studying in accordance with the right strategy is a must. Planning on how you are going to prepare initially is the correct step as it helps you to make headway while evaluating your progress. Studying from NCERT books will help you understand the concepts while other books can be used for JEE preparation. Make sure that the books you chose to study from are in accordance with the JEE Main paper.

 

4. No mugging up of topics

Make sure you don’t mug up the topics. It is important for you to understand the concepts. This will help you at the time of examination. 

 

5. Exercise with sample papers and mock tests

Try to solve a lot of sample papers and mock tests. This will help you find out the areas that require improvement. Solving mock tests and Class 12 sample papers also help you understand the pattern, and enhances your time management in addition to a familiar test-like environment.

6. Create short notes

Write down your formulas and important topics. Notes created in your own language will help you understand better and you will be able to remember it for a longer period of time. These notes will help you revise quickly.
