E-learning and Internet has changed the way education was perceived over a few years. With constant researches in education, a lot of innovative and better way of teaching have developed and widely adopted by schools for a better retention of teachings with students. This has not only enhanced the teaching skills of the prospective teachers but also equipped the students to work well in any kind of environment once they get out of the schools. Some of these Innovative-learning strategies have been listed as under:

Crossover learning: Field trips, trips to museums and other such setups wherein the students can relate well to the things that are taught rather than sitting within the walls of the classroom have proved to be an effective way to teaching them. The setup etches well in their minds and helps them retain the information better and for a longer span of time. For example, teaching about the history of an emperor standing in his palace will have a far better learning experience for kids rather than them having to imagine what all he did.

Meaningful argumentation: Setting up small groups after teaching sessions to discuss certain topics in the form of healthy debates work well with the students as well. This enables them to be a better speaker, participate in class and keep their viewpoints in front of teachers and their fellow classmates without the fear of being judged or marked on the same. Students can advance their understanding of science and mathematics by arguing in ways similar to professional scientists and mathematicians. Argumentation helps students attend to contrasting ideas, which can deepen their learning. It makes technical reasoning public, for all to learn. It also allows students to refine ideas with others, so they learn how scientists work together to establish or refute claims.

Context based learning: Context based learning has beautiful results with the students. Learning in situations where and when certain incident happened always creates a great recall value for kids. For example, the practical sessions of chemistry, biology and physics help the student retain things better with learning on their own. The things get reinforced in their minds only to take permanent place while you can go on teaching other things as well.

Embodied learning: Embodied learning involves self-awareness of the body interacting with a real or simulated world to support the learning process. When learning a new sport, executive summary of 5 physical movements is an obvious part of the learning process. In embodied learning, the aim is that mind and body work together so that physical feedback and actions reinforce the learning process. This approach can be applied to the exploration of aspects of physical sciences such as friction, acceleration, and force, or to investigate simulated situations such as the structure of molecules. This takes place in an open environment and enables student to learn while they are doing a physical activity so two things are taken care of at one go.
