Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to hold various quiz contests in schools across India to help students learn & appreciate history, tourism & cultural heritage of the country. An environmental quiz ‘Prakriti Khoj’ will be conducted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change till December 25.
The Central government is also going to conduct an online quiz programme. It is being conducted for students of three age categories — 8 to 12 years, 13 to 15 years and 16 to 18 years. As per the council, by participating and preparing for the quiz, children would become sensitised towards the environment.
According to the information from the State Council of Education, Research and Training (SCERT), the online quiz will be conducted by the ministry throughout the country. The city rounds of the heritage quiz would be conducted in Nov-Dec and the centre for the city would be announced by the Board in the beginning of the month. Students selected from the city round would participate in the regional rounds and the national semi-finals and finals would be held in the last week of January next year.
